The Hadron Skeleton is a ready-to-use template for a website that can be edited and published directly. It contains all necessary pages, configurations, plugins and themes to create a website with Grav. The Hadron Skeleton is based on the Hadron Theme and offers advanced features and configurations, which aren't available in the theme.<\/p>\n

The Hadron Skeleton is a ready-to-use template for a website that can be edited and published directly. This allows you to quickly and easily create a website with Grav without having to start from scratch.<\/p>\n

The Hadron Skeleton includes default groups for optimal user permissions. This allows users with different permissions to be created to ensure the security of the website.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Default pages<\/h3>\n

The template includes various example pages that serve as a starting point for creating a website. These include normal pages, modular, blogs, contact page and more.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Pre-installed plugins<\/h3>\n

The Hadron Skeleton includes a selection of pre-installed plugins that extend the functionality of the website. These include plugins for SEO, shortcode, media and other components & functions.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Default configuration for SendGrid Email<\/h3>\n

In addition to the email configuration, there is also a default configuration for SendGrid Email. This allows emails to be sent via SendGrid. This function supports the Doppler Secrets Manager.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Default configuration for Doppler Secrets Manager<\/h3>\n

An additional feature of this skeleton is the default configuration for the Doppler Secrets Manager. This allows secret information such as API keys, passwords and other sensitive data to be securely stored and retrieved.
\nFor this feature, our modified Grav Core<\/a> is required, so that these can be automatically fetched by Doppler.<\/p>\n

This tutorial describes the different ways to install the Hadron Skeleton and guides you through the installation of the Skeleton for a new Grav site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

The Hadron Skeleton can be installed in different ways.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Methods<\/h2>\n

There are basically two methods to install the Skeleton: via Git or as a ZIP file. Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages, depending on how you want to use the Skeleton. There are also different variants of how you can install the Skeleton, depending on whether you want to edit the Skeleton or just use it.<\/p>\n

<\/a>1. Installation (Git)<\/h2>\n

If you want to edit the Skeleton with Git, the easiest way is to clone the repository. This way you can easily pull updates and changes from the original repository. There are different variants depending on what you want to do with the Skeleton:<\/p>\n

<\/a>1.1 Copy repository (recommended)<\/h3>\n

If you want to create a new repository based on this Skeleton, you can use the Use this template<\/code> button on the GitHub repository page. This creates a new repository in your account based on the Skeleton. However, you will not be able to pull updates from the original repository.
\nThis is the recommended way if you want to develop a new site based on this Skeleton and do not plan to contribute to the original Skeleton or pull updates from it.<\/em><\/p>\n

To create a new repository based on this Skeleton, click the Use this template<\/code> button on the GitHub repository page. You will be prompted to enter a repository name and description. After that, you have a current copy of the Skeleton in your account. You can now clone the repository to your computer and start developing your site.<\/p>\n

<\/a>1.2 Fork repository<\/h3>\n

By forking this repository, you create a linked copy of the original repository in your own GitHub account. This way you can make changes to the Skeleton and push them to your own repository. You can then create a new site by using your fork as a Skeleton.
\nThis is the recommended way if you want to contribute to the original Skeleton or pull updates from it.<\/em><\/p>\n

Cloning the repository directly creates a local copy of the Skeleton on your computer.
